  2. About MicroWorld 2.0

  5. This is the successor of MicroWorld 1.2, which has been enhanced in 
  6. many respects.
  7.  
  8. MicroWorld is a molecular display and analysis program. It calculates three dimensional models (Lines, Dreiding, Ball&Stick, Space Fill) from 3D atom 
  9. coordinates, e.g. from x-ray data, 3D-data□bases, publications or other 
  10. chemistry software. It features powerful functions which are, so far, quite 
  11. rare with other programs of this kind.

  13. ･    Fast antialiasing: smooth stick drawing. 
  14. ･    Depth cueing: model colors become darker with increasing distance to the 
  15.     observer.
  16. ･    Transparent space fill models.
  17. ･    Up to three different model types in one model.
  18. ･    Import of any background picture and optional cast of a model shadow onto it.
  19. ･    Colorizing of selected model parts.
  20. ･    Alignment of the model to a point, a bond, or a plane.
  21. ･    Display of a color legend for element colors.
  22. ･    Mathematical coprocessor not necessarily needed.
  23. ･    Hide function.
  24. ･    Fast search functions: element, label, group (exact or substructure, 
  25.     interactive or non-interactive), protein and DNA/RNA backbone, find in radius.

  27. MicroWorld requires system 6.07 or higher, a 68020 processor or higher and the presence of Color QuickDraw.
